Batting for Change combines the heavy hitting of the Sydney Sixers with the generosity of Australians to assist the education of disadvantaged women in cricket-playing nations. Every summer we raise funds for the LBW Trust to support the education of young women in the developing world.
All donations to The LBW Trust through the Batting for Change initiative are tax-deductible in Australia.
Get involved – Attending the BFC Cup Official Pre-Match Party
On January 13, 2018, the Sydney Sixers will take on the Sydney Thunder at the Sydney Cricket Ground, playing for the Batting for Change Cup.
Before the match, we’re inviting supporters of Batting for Change to join us for the Official Pre-Match Party, being held on the tennis courts and indoor cricket nets adjacent to the SCG. There will be live music, food and drinks, fun and games, and appearances from some outstanding cricketers who support our cause. Following this, our whole group will march to a bay of dedicated seats, where we will cheer on the Sixers and the Thunder! Our aim is to raise over $100,000 through this event and associated fundraising, enough to support transformative educational opportunities for 300 disadvantaged young women in India and Sri Lanka.
Tickets for the BFC Cup Official Pre-Match Party are now sold out. Please consider making a donation to help us transform the lives of 300 young women in India and Sri Lanka.
Your small change really can change a life.
